Opt Out...worth a try?

happy new year!!!!

in the fEb 2oo7 issue of consUmer reporTs, i came across this 'opt out' site. i'm trying it out, despite the disclaimer on the main page. it does note that i will have to put up with residual 'pre-approval' letters from creditors... i'll keep track of the number of solicitations i get starting 5 days from now. let me know if you've Tried this already or end up opting out for 5 years or more.... as always, see the title of this entry for a link.
