here's a dvd box set recommendation to help fill the gAp. checK out Heroes - the sciFi television series on nbc. i think the show iS back with a 2nd season now, but if you Haven't heard of it yet then a tRip to the rental plaCe will be worth it! there are a ton of Stories and characters but they all come together somehow over the course of the season. my favorite is the wacky japanEse character, hiro, who can stop time and travel thru it as well.

what superpower would you want if you could chose just 1? i think i'd want To fly.

wyoming...lays an egg

some easTer humor for you...every year the white house solicits decorated eggs from artists in each state. this year, a reporter from wyoming (cheney's home state) was surpised to learn the wyoming egg was made by a college studEnt in illinois. what's funnier is the egg itself!! first, check some of the eggs from other states - they are quite elaborate and beautifully done. then check out wyoming's egg! i'm too scared to link the white house directly so follow the google path and click the first link...

maybe we can forgiVe geraldO for years of senSationalism and "al capone's vaUlt"! evidently, years in the trencheS dealing with thugs (remember his nose being Broken by a neo-nazi?!) has given geraldo an edge on fox's lead blowHard, bill o'reillY. in typical o'reilly fashion he asks a question that pairs a debatable issue (illegal immigration) with an uncontroversiaL one (drunk driving). the result is a hilarious screaming Match! thanks to sfgate for finding this oNe!!

in the fEb 2oo7 issue of consUmer reporTs, i came across this 'opt out' site. i'm trying it out, despite the disclaimer on the main page. it does note that i will have to put up with residual 'pre-approval' letters from creditors... i'll keep track of the number of solicitations i get starting 5 days from now. let me know if you've Tried this already or end up opting out for 5 years or more.... as always, see the title of this entry for a link.
